A road bike is a bicycle designed for fast cycling on paved roads. It's characterised by a lightweight frame, narrow tires, multiple gears, and a forward-leaning riding position for aerodynamic efficiency. Ideal for commuting, fitness riding, and competitive racing, road bikes are popular among cyclists seeking speed and long-distance performance.

All of our Temple road bikes are made from lightweight, Reynolds 853 steel. This give a very comfortable and responsive riding characteristic. We love steel here at Temple, and hence why we believe we have some of the best steel road bikes in the market.

You can learn more about steel here.

The Temple Road bike stands out for its unique blend of traditional club riding inspiration and modern high-performance features. Here's what makes it exceptional:

  2. Advanced Gear Systems: Equipped with the Shimano Ultegra R8150 Di2 (12 speed) or 105 R710, the Temple Road offers a state-of-the-art gear system that provides seamless shifting and reliability for all types of riding, from recreational to competitive road racing.
  3. Versatile Wheel Options: The standard model includes Hunt Four Season All Road wheels, known for their durability and performance in various conditions. For those seeking an upgrade, there's the option of a Hunt 44 UD Carbon Spoke Disc Wheelset, adding an extra edge in terms of speed and agility.
  4. Modern Braking and Routing: Incorporating disc brakes and internal routing, the Temple Road aligns with the latest trends in bike technology, ensuring better stopping power and a sleek, uncluttered appearance.
  5. Exclusive Availability: This bike is available in a limited number, making it a unique addition to any cyclist's collection. Its blend of performance, style, and exclusivity sets it apart from other road bikes on the market.
  6. Lifetime Warranty: Backed by Temple Cycles' famed lifetime warranty, the Temple Road is not just a purchase but an investment in a bike that is built to last and potentially become a vintage treasure in the future.

The Temple Road is more than just a bike; it's a testament to the joy of cycling, marrying the best of traditional design with cutting-edge technology. It's a choice for those who value quality, durability, and the pleasure of a great ride.

Yes, you could clasify the Temple Road bikes as all road or all-road bikes.

The difference between an all-road bike and a gravel bike lies primarily in their design and intended use, focusing on how they handle different terrains and riding conditions.

  1. Terrain Adaptability:
  2. Frame Geometry:
  3. Tyre Clearance and Wheel Size:
  4. Gearing and Components:

In summary, while both all-road and gravel bikes offer versatility beyond traditional road bikes, the all-road bike is more road-oriented with some off-road capability, and the gravel bike is more robustly designed for extensive off-road adventures.
