Role Overview

We’re looking for a talented and sales-driven person to join our team, taking responsibility for selling bikes direct to customers, managing customer enquiries and growing the business. We predominantly sell bikes directly to customers, of which many contact us looking for assistance before purchasing. This role is diverse, exciting and fundamental at Temple Cycles. The role will work closely with senior management and also sits above a small customer service and sales team.

Role Responsibilities

Primary Role 1: Ecommerce Sales

  • Responding to new hot leads from customers via email and phone. Helping customers to choose the right product for their needs. Being exceptionally helpful and informative to convert sales.
  • Offering assistance with the cycle to work scheme process and chasing customers to offer help and support with this.
  • Going above and beyond with all customers to offer a first class experience.
  • Reporting on sales performance and giving insights into how areas can improve.

Primary Role 2: Face-to-Face Sales and Test Rides

  • Meeting and greeting walk-in appointment customers in Bristol for test rides, and following these up with informative communication and next steps to guarantee sales.
  • Assisting with sales focussed events such as pop-up shops or shows.

Primary Role 3: Customer Experience & Project Management

  • Managing two customer service agents to ensure that our customers are well looked after, ensuring response times are fast and customer satisfaction is high.
  • Maintaining and developing automations to help improve customer resolution times - exploration & development of AI automations.
  • Being the key person responsible for resolving more complex customer service tasks.
  • Project managing internal teams on certain business development projects.

Key Targets

  • To be confirmed. Expect targets to be performance metrics related to sales figures, add-on sales (e.g. mudguards, racks, saddle and bar tape upgrades, wheel upgrades) and customer satisfaction.

Role Requirements 

The ideal candidate for this position will:

  • Excellent sales skills
  • Excited and motivated to make sales
  • Have, or show potential for strong leadership and management skills
  • Be entrepreneurial, ambitious and commercially minded
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in other relevant retail businesses
  • Project management experience a bonus

At Temple we use a variety of software and tools. Specific to this role, the following are used:

  • Shopify (ecommerce)
  • Klaviyo (email newsletter)
  • Gorgias (customer support)
  • TNT express (for booking any non website based delivery tasks)
  • Cycle to work schemes
  • ChatGPT & AI automation tools
  • Google Suite
