Meet Our Pathfinders
Meet our first-ever Temple Pathfinders, Anna Blackwell and Tad Jiunn Kho. These two adventurers are setting out to explore the world, one pedal at a time, on their timeless Temple bikes. Whether navigating the rugged trails of Wales or venturing on epic touring trips across distant lands, Anna and TJ embody the spirit of discovery and the joy of slow cycling that is at the beating heart of Temple Cycles... And they're here to show you the way.
ANNA
"I'm Anna, a Bristol-based adventurer, photographer, filmmaker and writer.
Over the last eight-or-so years I've been on some incredible adventures and expeditions, including trekking 1,000km by myself across Arctic and Northern Scandinavia. I'm a huge advocate for slow, considered travel, and being present and grateful for where you are, rather than focused on reaching a destination.
Towards the end of 2023 I decided it was high time I tried bikepacking, after many years of being a casual cyclist. So, six months later I set off to ride 1,000km across Sweden with one of my best mates. Getting to experience a country I know and love by two wheels was glorious. I came home absolutely hooked on the bike life.
I just know that my Temple and I will have many fantastic adventures over the coming years."
TJ
"Hello, my name is Tad (TJ) and I am a bike delivery rider based in Bristol. Anything to do with two wheels gets me excited! Be it an evening ride chasing the sunset, overnight microadventure or multi-day bikepacking trip.
My travels on two wheels often lead me to hidden gems off the beaten path. I tend to take things slow and savour every detail and moment that I encounter along the way. I find joy in documenting details of my cycling trip through the lens, such as my shadow during the golden hours, or grinding the coffee beans for my morning brew.
My favourite cycling trip was my solo trip along the south coast of the UK towards Cornwall. I explored various landscapes including forest, moorland, coastal towns and magical gardens. In the future, I plan to tour around the Desert of Wales, which is vastly inhabited and sounds very intriguing.
I have been riding the same steel steed everyday for the past twelve years and now I look forward to doing the same with the Temple bike that I built from scratch!"
